Stand at the bottom of an ice covered cliff. Tilt your nose to mine for an eskimo kiss. Fly up in a hot air ballon, and on top of the mountain we'll lunch at noon. Hold my hand and step into thin air. Our friends have stretched nets to catch us there.

I promise to help you even when I think you're annoying. To stand by you unless you really are wrong. To appreciate the ways in which you help me, and to realize that I couldn't be this happy if I wasn't your friend.
I Promise.

Dear Host Family,

Ever since I found out that exchanges existed (and that is many years ago now) I have always dreamt of being able to visit another country and truly experience it. You see, exchanges appeal to me because through them one can truly learn to appreciate a unique place and the people who live there. Though travel can be enjoyable, it is only a snapshot. Exchange emerges you in a culture, a people. And at the heart of all of this is the host family. It is your generosity that will allow me to become a part of a family in your country. And that is why I wanted to start this letter by saying thank you. Thank you for taking me into your home, for showing me your culture, and for allowing me to show you myself as well. Thank you.

I really should introduce myself shouldn’t I? Simply put, my name is Cordelia Elaine Brewster, Cabby for short, and I’m 15 years old. I live in Warwick, Rhode Island, in the United States with my mother, father, and brother. My mom is an architect, and my Dad is a photographer. They met while they were going to college at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, which my brother is currently attending as well. This is the same city in which my parents are both currently working. My mom started her own architecture firm called “Brewster Thornton Group Architects”. They do all sorts of projects, including homes, businesses, and schools. My father works at the “Warren Jagger Photography Studio”. He takes pictures of things like buildings, jewelry for catalogues, and pictures of children’s toys and products for packages. My brother is 18, and right now he is attending college at RISD, and majoring in Printmaking. He loves all kinds of art, especially making his own books.

Although we spend a lot of our time in Providence, RI where we all either work or attend school, we live in Warwick. Warwick is a suburb of Providence (which is the capital), but it has a lot of its own flavor as well. Our state is the smallest in the nation, and Warwick itself is rather local. We are right next to the Atlantic Ocean, and we are definitely a coastal town. Due to our proximity to the water some people in our community make their living through fishing, especially for the lobster which thrive on the coast. On warm summer days my friends and I love to go down to the beach to eat sea food and watch the sun set. Warwick is lovely because even with 85,808 people, I have gotten to know many people very well.

Our home in Warwick is very special to me. We live at the top of a hill sandwiched between the bay and the woods. In the spring the crab apple trees at the bottom of the hill bloom with light pink flowers, and in the winter the hill is perfect for sledding down with friends. Our home is covered in brown shingles, and our roof is a cheerful red. Inside my brother and I each have separate rooms. Right now his room is empty because he is living in an apartment in Providence, but his drawings are taped up all over his walls. My room is filled with whatever sewing project I am working on at the time, and souvenirs from events and places I want to cherish."

I made some changes....I might go over it a little thouroughly later, hope i could help lovie =D i really like the flow o the writing.
