Hey guys (or for you feminists, girls). Maria here. I know, I know, I keep forgetting to sign off with my name and confusing you people, so there you are. Now, you only have yourselves to blame if you dont know who this is!! MWAHHAHAHAH!!

Just finished geometry homework. Jebus, when will I EVER need to know what a bisector is, or why perpendicular lines form a 90 degree angle. WHY?? I do not plan on becoming a carpenter; the closest thing I will probably get to any of this in the so called 'real world' is possibly sewing my own dresses and such. This makes no sense. You know, I thought people who sucked at algebra were supposed to be GOOD at geometry. Now, I have discovered that I am NOT GOOD at math. At all. But what am I good at? I dont know. People, make the call.

Food Network is on now. What else is new. For those of you who dont already know, nine times out of ten, when I am watching television (and thats not too often, my friends), I am watching the Food Network. Dont ask me why. Well, yeah, I love to cook, but there is something about watching Giada DeLaurentiis chop potatoes and stir marinara sauce that I find particularly comforting and oddly therapeutic. I always feel like I need to cook something after watching it, though.

While I'm on the subject, I am trying to test new pancake recipes. Why pancakes, you ask (or maybe you're not asking, but I'm gonna tell you anyway)? Well, because my brother has something of an addiction to pancakes. And, well, I get tired of making him the same old chocolate-chip pancakes all the time. Which recipe sounds the best to you guys? (Note: I tend to think of pancakes as a type of flattened muffin, so if these flavors sound familiar, its because they're based on kinds of muffins, but the prep work is different. You'll see)

The following recipes (or additions) will be added to my basic pancake recipe
2 c. Heart Healthy Bisquick
1 1/4 Milk*
1 egg*
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp sugar or splenda

Banana Walnut Pancakes (adding in 1 med. mashed banana and 1/2 c. walnuts)
Cranberry Almond Pancakes ( adding in 1/2c dried cranberries and 1/3 c slivered almonds)
Apple Cinnamon Pancakes (adding in 1/4c unsweetened apple sauce and 2tsp cinnamon)
White Chocolate Pancakes (adding 1/2c white chocolate chips)
Double Chocolate Pancakes (adding 1/4c sifted cocoa powder, 1 tbsp sugar/splenda, 1/3 c semi sweet chocolate chips)
Egg Nogg Pancakes (substituting 1 1/4c eggnog for milk, and 1 tsp nutmeg)**


*amount subject to change because of liquid exchange (example, 1/4c apple sauce = 1 egg)
** This one is just a prospect. I'm not sure how well the egg nogg can tolerate the heat of a pan.
