I figured that was a good way to begin my blog, because those are exactly my feelings right now. Except not at all. Helter skelter lyrics actually would have been far more appropriate. I am quite confused at the moment, as a matter of fact. I don't really have anything exciting to do. I just got home from Friendly's and I have nothing at all to do. Today is Alex Schlageter's birthday and I'm going to see him tomorrow, so I made him a card. I really don't want to do my homework either, so I decided that this blog was a good use for my boredom. Well, I went to see Across the Universe (I invited myself) with Gabs and Haley and Colin last night. It was absolutely amazing and incredibly weird, but still really amazing. We saw a lot of people there (some we didn't want to see, like my abhorrer who must not abhor me anymore) and it was just exciting.

Tomorrow I have to go to open house. I am not very excited for this because I have to sing and dance and dance and sing and act and act and act. I feel like I'm being tested on my abilities constantly. This stage of the game is all a test. Your character, personality, talents, achievements, faults...they're all right out for everybody to see. I think this is why I'm very quickly turning into an adult: I want to be alone for a while. I think that's why I've been taking two showers a day. It's an opportunity to be isolated from everything, for however short a time. I actually want to go somewhere like Wyoming or Nebraska and find a huge, flat field of grass and just sit there under the afternoon sky and just be. Be alone. Alone to think in silence, and be separated from everything and everyone until the sun is no longer to be visible and the stars awaken.

Maybe someday I'll do this, but now I can't. I'm stuck in Rhode Island with woodlands and rocky beaches. Do people in Wyoming and Nebraska have to impress everyone like we do here? I just think things would be more simple there. I could be completely wrong, but, I don't know. The grass is always greener.

Well, I'm gonna go...to take a shower. ^^
